I just replaced my old computer with a laptop. I want to install my Office on it. The laptop has Windows You did first uninstall any pre-installed office trial or ‘get office’ shortcut, then install using your cd? Of course if you dont have a full office version, but an upgrade version or OEM version then its not going to install.

I have a copy of Office , purched at office depot , have never had full use as what I have for code is not acceped, what do I do. I have it on my win Xp and also have a win 10 mod. I had the same problem where there was no place to enter the key code.. Actually there was, but it is not visible with in the small fixed size window..

The Office installation program uses small windows for it’s user interface. Windows 10 provides a fixed size window for the install program to work in. Previously I had changed the windows 10 display to make text and pictures on the screen larger for my old eyes.

The office messages no longer fit in the windows 10 fixed window. First window: Enter the key including the dashes then hit enter. If you miss type, you will not see the error message. The installation works by itself until the end when it wants you to activate the new installation. The web link it provides is no longer valid. I have a Office Home and Student license and I am trying to install on my new lap top, but I am unable to do. Threats include any threat of suicide, violence, or harm to another.

In reply to Palcouk’s post on March 10, Thanks for replying Palcouk. The new laptop came with windows 10 and I have not installed anything on it. I have a Office Home and Student license that I purchased with a computer in That computer died. Now I want to use my Office on my new laptop. The laptop does not accept CD’s so when I try to activate I type in the key code and it responds that it will not accept it that I should call Microsoft.
